movie review: captain america                                                 rating -3/10

Americans are arrogant. They love bikes. They are obsessed with Nazis. They hate bullies even when they are the biggest ones. They have these villains who always want to follow in the path of GOD and cause all the dramatic action sequence. And the hero always manages to make the dumb blonde fall in love.
well there you go,just in case you were wondering if you should even download this movie, i hope you are the staunchest supporter of American bullshit. This is strictly meant for under 14 years old audience. Mathematical logic and physics have been given a pass throughout this movie. There is absolutely no empathy for the intellect of the audience and might just leave you with a terrible feeling that Amraggadon just might be around the corner in 2012. For teenage boys there is enough story plot peppered with mini-skirt-cladding-girls and cool guns with decent special effect. While for girls, apart for good looking hero, there is just this last scene in which she finnally manages to kiss before he leaps a death(gravity, newton’s 1st, 2nd,3rd law, cammon scense) defying jump from a car to a plane.
so ladies and sane minded gents, spare this DVD only for young american audience as it has lethal effect on the central nervous system with the obvious plot and crappy storyline.

movie review-Role Models(2008)                                              rating- 6.5/10

Its not the typically a story about how some grown ups act all perfectly and influence the lives of the kids. What makes this movie special is its exact opposite point of view. We all grow in our own ways, with a little help from the ones we care about to make all the difference. The plot is typically having the old ring of messed up guys coming together to find their destination. The storyline meanders its ways through through a bit of a boring middle part. But it allmakes up in the end. There are funny scenes which could be attributed to child actors Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Bobb’e Thompson. There is American pie fame actor- Paul Rudd and Sean William who seem to put up a good show.

If you aint having a terrific day and just want to kill some time, this movie aint such a bad choice. It gives you a feelgood-factor at the end of the movie.

Four Wedding and a Funeral                   directed by- Mike Newell            rating- 8/10

There are movies which intially get you excited then leave you in the middle of the plot like a heartless mistress. I have been addicted to stories even before my dad used to make me these fantasy tales with flying horses. Not surprisingly i was the main protagonist and the hero. Movies seem to me like an extension of the lost childhood and mysterious characters which never seem to satisfy me. I have been sceptical about romantic comedies since a long time. But Four weddings and a Funeral just changed my mind.It starts off in a bit of an odd fashion. But the usual style of the average guy falling for a pretty girl just couldnt have been different. The concept of stretching out the movie across a wide timeline seemed quite bold at that time. The characters are close to real life and are less phony. And without doubt Hugh Grant steals the limelight. There is one scene in which he goes to the  church and starts apologising to God for the “Misdemeanour” and immediately goes-” BUGGER BUGGER BUGGER”. Well maybe they are right- Brits do have a wicked sense of humour. The movie never lets up the pace once it starts with the first wedding. There is spontaneity which makes you feel that its possible even in real life. The deaf brother of Hugh Grant nails the climax scene when it becomes too exciting to bear. The feel good factor at the end even after a disaster will leave a good after taste.

The priest-in-training and his dialogue light up the scene. There are moments which only make you wish if it could be possible in real life. The casting seems spot on. Direction is beautiful. Although the movie could have done a better job at soundtrack and the a little crisp editting. Please leave your comments below and do poll..
